It is not difficult Maggi !
I have made since some years cuttings from my I.indica ,I.alba ,I.leari ,
From the annual forms is it not necessary because they grows quick from seeds ...but with the perennial forms is possibly to save time
A other point is that many Ipomoea are not self fertil ...so they produce no seeds
I have no experience with Ipomoea who build a caudex ...but I have read that it should possibly ( I.platensis )

Which Ipomoea do you grow ?

This is a big fault !
They are easy and make a lot of fun
You can grow it in pots ,give it a little help for climbing and you have every day a lot of fun

Make a try  8)

Hans, you will find that many of us are disappointed with Brexit-  especially those of us who voted against it - so many of our great nurseries restricted in their business, for a start! ( My own personal opinion, of course!)

While in Goa, India in January, I saw this yellow flowered morning-glory.
I wonder if it is hardy enough to grow here?
cheers

If it's Ipomoea ochracea then it may be perennial, at least with winter protection.
African but apparently naturalised in Australia (https://www.cabidigitallibrary.org/doi/full/10.1079/cabicompendium.114969), so take care Fermi :P
