(1/2) > >>

JohnnyD:
Can anyone explain what is happening here with this Armeria pseudarmeria 'Dreamland' seedhead?
Are seeds germinating????
There isa always something new to see!

JohnnyD:
p.s. ..... a gentle tug reveals this.

ashley:
A bit like Festuca vivipara, quite common in upland areas.

Palustris:
We have had this happen to our A. pseudo-armeria plants quite a few times. It is caused by the dampness of the atmosphere. The seeds germinate before they fall. They actually will grow into new plants if taken off and potted up. Otherwise, they eventually rot away.

JohnnyD:
Thanks Eric, will try. JohnnyD
