Ahrends' "Schnee" cultivars of Primula × pruhoniciana
« on: March 03, 2009, 05:07:43 AM »
Which of Ahrends' "Schnee" cultivars of Primula × pruhoniciana are SRGC members growing, or which they know to be available in the trade?

I haven't mounted an intensive search for information on these, but it appears that most of them are no longer available.'

PS: I forgot to add that I have two of these, 'Schneesturm' (Snowstorm) and 'Schneetreiben' (Snowdrift). Some very odd and unexpected plants turn up from time to time in our local garden centers!

I have one which is grown locally as 'Snow White' so I suppose that is one of Ahrends.' I haven't come across any others.

I got my 'Snow White' from Edrom.
They still list it. It's a good doer.
