Gladiolus query

(1/2) > >>

Roma:
This Gladiolus from AGS seed was sown in January 2017.  It's been somewhat neglected in the cold frame (still in the seed pot).  It is labelled G. atroviolaceus which it obviously is not. Not even from the same hemisphere! I took it into the house to photograph it and it is sweetly scented. The leaf is thin and I think would be x shaped in cross section if my eyes were good enough to see it. Is it tristis or a hybrid of tristis?

Roma:
Sorry. I have put this in the wrong place instead of starting a new topic.  Maybe you can fix it, Maggi?

Jon Evans:
Looks like a Gladiolus tristis hybrid to me

Roma:
Thank you Jon.

Maggi Young:
My pleasure to help, Roma!!  That's a sweet flower - so nice that it is sweetly scented.
