The old year ends and the new year starts with the flower of Gladiolus saccatus. Three years ago, I had the opportunities to buy some small (2mm in diameter) bulbs of seedlings. Now they are flowering the first time.

Thanks Marc. Unfortunately my fuzzy photos don't do it justice but I find this plant cheering at a dull time of year.

Wonderful flowers and interesting Gladiolus! (if you have a few splitting bulbs left during the dormant period, I would be interested)
