Are you regretting that you cannot attend   the SRGC Summer Day to hear Kenton Seth?  Perhaps you plan to attend but want "more" - try  this for size......

Those of us who were lucky enough to attend the 3rd Prague conference had the pleasure of meeting Kenton and heard him give a short talk. On the basis of what we heard, we're in for a treat at Dunblane with his two full length presentations. Kenton is knowledgeable, passionate and engaging, so I'm sure there'll be a full house. The attached pic is of Kenton contemplating the beauty slope in Zdenek Zvolanek's garden.

I've been in contact with Kenton for some time and have always been taken by his attitude. Ian met him in the Czech Republic for the first time and was  impressed with the depth of interest  Kenton showed in the minutiae of the different gardens and plants -  he is a fellow who really studies things deeply. Known  here mostly for his tremendous crevice gardens, he is determined to learn more about all sorts of gardens and climates -   which is very refreshing.

From Sandy Leven :

Note to all!!!.
Saturday the 19th is the date for this year's summer event. Railtrack are working on the railway bridge and parking will be restricted. Still plenty at Tesco lower car park, Mill  Row and beside the station. We have got more local publicity this year so if you possibly can please bring cut flowers, shrubs. Pots etc to help fill the benches.
If anyone can help on the day that would be good.

Kenton's in Scotland - should be arriving here any time now!

Now, for Scottish Rock Garden Club members attending the fab Summer Event in Dunblane this coming Saturday  19th August - some news about some private parking arranged  by Sandy Leven for you -  there is space for several dozen members' cars in the grounds of the abattoir, just along the road from the venue.  The owner has kindly allowed  this - but please, only SRGC members and  please take care not to block the access road, which is shared.
The abattoir grounds are  along the road  from the Victoria Hall, on the left as you might be heading up the hill to the main road, away from the railway station.

Thanks to Sandy for arranging this  when the area has current parking restrictions! Mr Leven to the rescue once more!!

I've already mentioned that Ardfearn and Rumbling Bridge were going to have sales tables at Dunblane - Hartside was there too - a friend  of ours  fell for this selection of Erythroniums....
