Lovely! This one looks similar and came as N. lobularis to me some 20 years ago. It´s one of the few which appear to be not troubled by narcissus fly.

Magnificent show of Spanish treaures! I can't decide which of them I admire most.

More Narcissus obesus here in Portugal, this year peak flowering was some two weeks earlier than last year.
Love them!

Narcissus fernandesii x Narcissus cantabricus
Mercy! So beautiful - does it keep the scent, Rafa?
All these photos from Spain and Portugal are delightful - I hope these plants live a long and happy life there!
-
I am not often lost for words but Rafa all I can say is WOW you share a stunning series of images of Narcissus from Spain with us and while they are all my favouites you know I have a special soft spot of Narcissus x susannae which I am reminded of daily by your excellent water colour which graces our walls.
Jamie I also greatly enjoy your post showing Narcissus obesus in Portugal another species which attracts my interest.
OK then I am not completely lost for words.

Roma your rupicola is so great!
In my greenhouse all the narcissus are now faded or setting seeds, the garden took the relay.
Again an old selection Narcissus 'Maybole Elegans'

So happy to see my babies doing so well for everyone! Tatsuo, if only you could grow all my narcissus then bring them over here for the shows - they grow so beautifully compact with you.

My, that is a good strong pink - nothing wishy-washy about that! (Some I've seen are a bit "peelly-wally" as we say in Scotland! )
-
Roma your rupicola is so great!
It was grown from SRGC seed,Yann. Collected wild by Rafa as Narcissus triandrus pallidulus.
-
Roma, that hybrid is a cutie!
Not sure of it's origin, Anne. I got it at the SRGC Discussion Weekend in 2012. Still just one bulb :(

So happy to see my babies doing so well for everyone! Tatsuo, if only you could grow all my narcissus then bring them over here for the shows - they grow so beautifully compact with you.
Thank you, Anne. If I was a jet-setter... ::)
-
Narcissus scaberulus in the wild here in Central Portugal. It is known as "Narcissus of Mondego", which is an important river in the area.
Photos are from my friend Lucie.
-
Beautiful!

Our show season is over, so my babies and I can relax and get something useful done in the garden at last! This crew were at the Daffodil Society Northern Group show at the weekend.

It seems like I buy bulbs of this every year and every year, without fail , they never come up again. I must be mad! Narcissus W P Milner.

-
It's an annual narcissus, I suppose ::)
-
Narcissus rupicola subsp. watieri (syn. N. watieri)

I went along to the Norfolk & Norwich Horticultural Society Show on Sunday which incorporates the East of England Daffodil Championship and Plant Fair. Very different daffodils exhibited to the ones you see at AGS/SRGC shows and pictured here but interesting, and it was a very pleasant, friendly show with a range of nurseries attending that included Riverside Bulbs and Monksilver.

There must be someone in Norfolk breeding large-flowered daffodils and there were several with local names.
'Horsey Mere' is a massive flower;
[attachimg=1]
'Hickling Broad'
[attachimg=2]
'Yare Valley'
[attachimg=3]
-
'Cameo Flush' is a nice warm colour and seemed a popular show flower.
[attachimg=1]
'Beaulieu'
[attachimg=2]
I did like the colour of 'Wild Honey' which is probably nicer 'in the flesh' than in my photo
[attachimg=3]

Pacific Rim'
[attachimg=1]
Silent Valley'
[attachimg=2]
And perhaps of most appeal to alpine enthusiasts, 'Elka'
[attachimg=3]
-
It's always interesting to note the difference between the ideal exhibition flower and the ideal alpinists blooms. Daffodil shows are always fun to go to and see how passionate exhibitors are, and the huge variation in flower types even among exhibition cultivars.

Not something I would want to get into but I enjoyed the pictures Gail.
