I haven't been to Shetland and so  I'm posting this here to see  if a forumist can advise on places to be sure to see!
I checked on the Scotland's Garden Scheme site  and  found this :

https://scotlandsgardens.org/find-a-garden/?f=%7B%22lat%22%3A60.5296507%2C%22lng%22%3A-1.2659408%2C%22adr%22%3A%22Shetland%20Islands%2C%20UK%22%2C%22rad%22%3A%5B25%5D%2C%22t%22%3A%5B%22all%22%5D%7D

Hope someone can help!

Two ancient Norwegian settlements dating back to the Bronze Age have been preserved on the Shetland Islands - Jarlshof Prehistoric & Norse Settlement in Samburg and Tafts of Bayonne. Port Charlotte in Lerwick, built-in 1665 and restored in 1781, is noteworthy. I think your friends should visit these places. I also recommend searching for travel information on https://www.travelsafe-abroad.com/united-states/riverside/ (https://www.travelsafe-abroad.com/united-states/riverside/). I always find important information about the place where I intend to go on this site.
