Ian Young Awarded Veitch Memorial Medal by RHS

Tremendously proud of Ian Young of Scottish Rock Garden Club who has been today been awarded the Veitch Memorial Medal by the RHS - my hero!!
Sadly because of the coronavirus restrictions Ian couldn't travel and anyway the RHS award ceremony was postponed, so just celebrating here with tea and chocolate biscuits!
Ian Young with Keith Wiley - who was himself made an Associate of Honour by the RHS today- in Gothenburg, where they were both giving talks.

Well done Ian, I am VERY proud of you! I would have loved to have been able to see you given the award in London- but so pleased that President Julia Corden was going to keep you company! Shame you've both been done out of a free lunch!
