Viola flettii........how to germinate
« on: December 28, 2011, 08:15:22 PM »
Am hoping someone has advice on how to germinate V. flettii.
I normally put viola seeds in damp vermiculite and put the baggie in the fridge until they germinate.

I sowed them the 'normal way' in clay pots and kept them outside  (plunged) after receipt from the seed exchange in winter. Germination was ok - the problem was that most of the resulting plants weren't the species expected.
