Primula sp. ex Blue Moon Valley, Shangri-La

Anyone know what this ugly little thing is? The label says "Primula sp. high, woodland - CN: Blue Moon Valley, Zhongdian, NW Yunnan", seeds from one of the Czechs.

Don't do that! Maybe it needs another year to produce best flowers. It looks like a healthy plant.

I'm with Lesley.... you are too harsh, Bjørnar .... give it a chance to do better next year.
These types do often take a while to give their best flowers..... why not be generous ... and hope?!!

I'll move it to a holding bed, then, you're right about them becoming more floriferous in their second year, but the peduncles tend to stay about the same height... It's not a good colour either, wishy-washy purple

And here I was thinking it was a lovely lavender shade.    I'd take it in a heartbeat if I could receive it here.    Now you've threatened it it will probably perform brilliantly next year, just to show you were too hasty in your judgment.

Yes, I agree with Maggi, its a rather undistinguished P. chionantha subsp. sinopurpurea. You should be able to get better forms from almost any seed list.
