The season of mellow fruitfulness has arrived - thanks goodness, though we are not out of the Fire Season yet until the autumn rains settle in.
We did get 14mm last week which seems to help trigger some blooms.
Here are:
1 & 2) Acis autumnalis
3) Colchicum "atropurpureum" which came from Marcus Harvey and I think we decided it was a dark form of C. cilicium
4) A colchicum received as "Lilac Major" and probably a form of C. byzantinum
5) A colchicum from seed labelled C. sibthorpiae which I'm told it isn't!

More autumn flowers:
1) a couple of unnamed small species of colchicums
2 ) Habranthus martinezii
3) Lycoris incarnata
4) Rhodophiala bifida (a cross between a dark red and an orange red form)
5) Zephyranthes 'Grandjax'

Yes, I was disappointed to have to leave the Zoom talk this morning (last evening over there) but I had to leave for work!
I'm endeavouring to grow as many Mediterranean bulbs as possible

I find it interesting that you are further south than I am north but you have a warmer climate. We are both on or near a Pacific coast.

Your area seems to be warmer in summer and colder in winter ... Our property is surrounded on all sides by native bush so is very sheltered allowing cultivation of a number of otherwise 'borderline' plants.
