Which Ranunculus?
« on: December 05, 2021, 02:52:32 PM »
Pictures taken in May in Southern Europe. It does not look quite like gramineus…
I hope someone recognizes it.

I think I may have figured it out. I believe it is R. illyricus. Very hairy/silvery.
Please correct me if you think I am wrong.
I do believe they can be good plants for a rock garden.

Looks like you've found a likely answer there.  Very pretty plant.

in my garden I grow Ranunculus gramineus, which looks like, but I don't know if it is hairy.
I like it: it is a reliable plant.
I wanted to divide it once, but I shouldn't have; fortunately I had 2 plants
at friends', it can be reseeded a little in the rock garden, but in my garden, it is too wise; I am obliged to take care of its seedling to have others.
