"Kelseya uniflora! Thank you Panayoti Kelaidis for the ID! I would not have thought this was related to Spiraea. This thing is very woody, ancient clumps growing out of limestone in alpine dolomite barren in north-central Wyoming. One of the coolest plants I’ve seen. A plant dislodged and dried by winter shows the woody nature."
