This is the first time I've ever seen it offered anywhere.  My note of 30 years or so ago is this:

"Kew has.  Seed doesn't ripen.  Cuttings easy"

I wonder what conditions allowed the seed to form last year.

We have previously raised plants of this species at Kerrachar. The seed was from the Archibalds but can't remember whether it was wild collected. Obviously seed can be set or the plant wouldn't survive but what conditions it needs I'm not sure. We grow two related species - Incarvillea arguta and Incarvillea olgae and both of these set seed for us most years.
