Title: IRG 38 - February 2013
Post by: ranunculus on February 22, 2013, 03:32:55 PM
What a wonderful edition of the IRG ... tremendous articles and images and everything with a 'local' touch.  Many thanks to the two Ian's and the entire IRG team.

It's a complete joy to see those pictures of Corydalis solida, and especially growing in the woodland garden. I hope I can gradually introduce them like that here in Kent but it will take a long time to develop such a beautiful planting. Very inspirational as ever - 'Craigton Red' must more than rival 'Elizabeth Harrison' in Scot's heritage!

Thank you. :)
I especially enjoyed the Corydalis solida article, because I like to grow them. The warning that Corydalis seeds are soft and should be handled carefully is important: once a friend sent me fresh seeds in a letter wrapped only thickly in soft paper, and when the letter arrived the seeds were crushed  :( (Helleborus seeds don't get crushed sent the same way, they are harder).
