'Over- Summering' Auriculas
« on: August 06, 2007, 08:33:25 PM »
It hasn't been an easy Summer so far for my Auriculas in their Summer quarters. I have lost more plants this year than I have in the last two years put together. Even though they are under cover in a frame the front of which is covered by two layers of shade material the driving rain we have had over the last three months has got in and some plants have rotted off.

Every year at re-potting time I try to discipline myself not to take every offset with roots from every plant available and grow them on (I have managed to stop myself from taking rootless offsets) and fail every year. This year I'm glad I did.
