Jan's catalogue
« on: May 09, 2012, 08:01:01 AM »
Can anyone (maybe Jan himself?) tell em when Jan Jilek's catalogue will be out? I know he said April or May, but there doesn't seem to be anything yet at wildbulbs.eu.

Ta,

Alex

Nothing yet....doesn't Jan disappear to central Asia in the Summer? Is he around to manage the catalogue?

Hi all,

Does anybody know what has happened to Jan? I was corresponding with him a few months ago, and tried to place an order which he even said he would send, then no more contact. I have sent numerous messages since, with no reply. The nursery webpage does not seem to be fully updated, which is a bit odd. Has anybody else been in touch?

Thanks,

Alex

Same here.... same pattern as previous years too, but the one time I recieved seeds (and a bulb) from him they were excellent.

Ditto - I wired him a good sum of money for my order on Tues and can't get him to confirm that he received it or that the order was shipped. Does anyone know of him actually ripping customers off or is he just poor at communicating?

If you read Jan's posts in the forum  you will learn that he spends at least half the year in Uzbekistan and is also travelling at other times.

I think he is simply out of reach and will likely communicate when he is back in Czechia.

Thank you Maggi -

I thought long and hard before playing the "Ugly American" but felt a point needed to be made.

I quite understand the anxiety when hard cash is involved and there is no reply, Larry. That is something that would worry anyone.
I do think - and hope, it is just a case of lack of communication.
