Brinkfields : John Gennard's garden featured in AGS journal
« on: March 24, 2012, 01:22:07 PM »
Those of us who have enjoyed many years of photos from the beautiful garden of SRGC Forumist John Gennard will be delighted that his Leicestershire garden is being featured in the AGS "bulletin" (- now rebranded as a "journal").

Robert Rolfe has written the first of two articles about John's garden, and this can be seen  on pages 96 to 116 of the latest issue of the Alpine Gardener, Volume 80, No.1 March 2012.
We are promised that a second article will follow in the September issue.
"Around the world in three acres"  is an apt title and it is very pleasing that John's wonderful garden is being shown  in the journal. John is not able to entertain visitors to the garden so this addition to the strides he has made with sharing his bounty ( and hard work!) with readers of the Forum is most welcome.

It also seems to me, on a very brief examination of the issue which has just arrived here, that the printing / photo quality of the AGS publication is much improved lately.

I look forward to reading Robert's article ..... thanks to John for allowing this access.

Not read it yet but I have been to the garden, it is wonderful. Best bit was what John has done with the ex tennis court.
