I just love this funny Hepatica but can't find it anywhere for sale. Would anyone happen to know where I can get it? Thanks.

If I knew just one nursery, I would be more than happy. Any help or hints are highly appreciated. Thanks.

Scilla, I know of no-one offering this plant... perhaps the best chance would be from a Scandanavian source?
I could find no sign of it in the RHS Plantfinder for the UK.

Seems like only Mark Smyth has posted it ( I maybe wrong...??). He is an incredibly fine generous guy, maybe he can send you a cutting? He should get superhero status if he does 8) 8) 8)

Mark did post a photo back in 2007.... he may no longer have the plant.
Perhaps, Ron, it is better to allow growers to make their own suggestions..... :-\ :-X

I read somewhere (can't remember where, probably on this forum?) that it comes true from seed, so maybe you should look for someone who has seeds to give/for sale??

Hi Scilla, have you tried using the search button on this website? It will allow you to find all those people who have posted data / pictures of 'Prickle', the one you are interested in. If you then use the Private Messaging service , you may find what you want.

Thank you, everyone, for your helpful comments and support. I didn't know that 'Prickle' comes true from seed, that's interesting. And makes propagation easy. It's weird that any nursery offers this lovely Hepatica all the more. Perhaps swapping is an option.

Mark, sorry to hear that your mother plant died.

Yes it is right that 'Prickle' come true from seeds, but it can change color, I send a picture of a plant, it is the same plant but not from the same year. But it is the blue color there is normal and I think all those seedplants I have maded have the blue color.

Thank you, Jozef.

Sadly, Aberconwy are not in my area and I am afraid they don't offer shipping to abroad.
