Our snowdrop day is now over until February 2010. Very cold this morning and sunshine by the afternoon. My garden was last with people arriving from 3pm. Warm enough for snowdrops and crocus to open. 90 people were in and around the garden today. I'm sure the neighbours will have thought I had died. 101 question s today covering everything in the garden. Top questions were
Q What's the bush with the white flowers? A Lonicera purpusii
Q What's the bush with the scented pink flowers? A Daphne Jacqueline Postill
Q What's the crocus with the purple stripe? A Colchicum kessellringii

After good rain this last week, the very first of my autumn snowdrops are showing though today, Gal. niv. reginae-olgae. Lovely to see them again.

Hello Lesley, I wondered where you were on our thread I expect you have been lurking!  Good to have some more to look forward too, as John says, ours are past their best...although I think my South Hayes is going to decide to open any day now (at long last - I may need to re-site it).

Yes Brian, I've been lurking, about once a week on the Galanthus threads and in all honesty, all I can say is - a snowdrop is a snowdrop is a snowdrop.
