Bird Of Paradise (Strelitzia)

hello everyone so i soaked my seeds over night (2 seeds) well i was snipping them this morning 1 i snipped fine but the other i just snipped the top of the baby inside only about 3mm of it is this dead now or will it survive ?

probably OK but although I have never tried this plant from seed my guess is you should cut the skin first then soak

ok thanks mark supposibly i read if u soak them makes it easier to split the seeds or some where along the lines of this
