For other fans of Vojtech, you may like to know that he will be appearing at the Saxifrage Society Autumn meeting in Northampton, in association with the Androsace Group and local AGS groups. ....

"Autumn meeting : Sunday 21st November 2010 - with Vojtěc Holubec
Our special guest speaker is Vojtěc Holubec who will be talking about Plant Hunting in Asia with special reference to Androsace and Saxifraga.

Times are 13:30 - 16:00

The venue for the meeting will be:

St Peter's Church Hall.
High Street. Weston Favell

There will be plant sales, used book sales, refreshments, and a raffle.  Small quantities of Pumice and Perlite etc. may be available for sale.  Please bring sale plants (Androsace, Saxifrage and other alpines) using the usual double label system."

Hard for me to say from the inside  ;D
We had an excellent attendance, I hope everyone enjoyed it, we had some really nice feedback.
Vojtech was fantastic, lectured about his amazing rock garden
I couldn't resist going to Northampton on Sunday to hear him again talk about Saxifraga and Androsace in Asia, another brilliant session.

I enjoyed listening to both of Vojtech Holubec talks this weekend, the first in Birmingham featured his garden and plants grown there; Jackie and i particularly enjoyed the images showing construction of his rockery. Yesterdays talk for a joint meeting of Androsace & Saxifraga groups was even better showing many stunning new plants from his travels, many of these are included in his recently published seed catalogue. I came away with a long list of goodies to include in my order.
Must state that we also enjoyed Diane's digital talk; this would make a good presentation for local groups.
Thanks to organisers of both events.
