« on: September 20, 2010, 07:19:33 PM »
Hello everybody

I have some Phyllodoce species and I like to propagate them by cuttings.
What is the best time to collect the cutting
Many thanks for the answers

Hello Frans..... at last my internet connection is staying open for me to make a reply!

Now would be a good time for Phyllodoce cuttings. Place them in a peat/sand or leafmould/sand mix, cover loosely with cling film ( ceramwrap) and place in a shaded place - perhaps an outdoor frame, if you have one, and  by spring they should be rooting.
That works for us in North East Scotland.
