Hello, many thanks for these superb pictures the Meconopsis are looking great I met Andrew Willocks the gardener at Harlow Carr he came to the SRGC stand at Gardening Scotland he told me that the Meconopsis had been moved to this new area again thanks for the pictures, cheers Ian the Christie kind

Yes, nice pictures.

Sometimes Meconopsis in southern gardens can look a bit etiolated. The Barney's Blue photos here are quite a good example. Is this the effect of high temperatures, or too much shade (they are almost invariably grown as 'woodland plants' in S Britain)?

I had a huge plant of Evelyn Steven's Grandis intruduction back in Norway, quite purple if I remember correctly, surprised these haven't developed better. Could it have been a different ES number, or is there only one? 'Dalemain' looks like an excellent cultivar!

Hello, yes several M. grandis with E.S numbers are in cultivation also good seed is distributed by The Meconopsis Group in the autumn as you would expect some die in the first year but others are very good, cheers Ian the Christie kind
