Almost none of the lower end digital cameras have viewfinders anymore; trying to view through the LCD screen in bright light is useless 
That will explain why I haven't yet found one. You're right, the LCD screen is only any good in some conditions which is why I want a viewfinder. Hopefully the current camera will last till I find what I want.
