first pcs is A.cretica,second A.pistolochia .Both I have not in my collection still.
I have pallida,rotunda,baetica,paucinervis,parvifolia,hirta,iberica,steupii ,scabridula,sempervirens,cilicica? and bilardiereii till now

Where does A. longa come from? I've just sent seed to the exchanges but will have fresh seed in the (southern) summer if you'd like it.

So these are the low non-climbing types?  I've only ever heard of them here.... up until then I'd always thought that they were all large climbers.

yes ,these european aristolochias are non climbing plants /max 50cm/ except baetica and sempervirens.
Longa is more from Asia, so it is not specie for my colection.Thanks

Paul, A. longa makes a low mound from a central knobby rootstock and sends out stems to about 30cms each. The flowers are upright and green, like little green meerkats. It dies back to the centre for winter. Seed if you'd like to try some?

I must try some more species. I have A. clematitis, which is spreading in my uncovered bulb frame. I even got a couple of seed pods this year!

If you want to try A. longa Anthony, let me know. It's one of those "quietly attractive" plants. Actually, it's useful for bulb protection in summer. It doesn't sprout away from the centre until crocuses etc have finished, then grows over them to keep off excessive rain or whatever. It might discourage narcissus fly too, just by being there.

I also have seeds,.... waiting for germination since 2008...

Daniel, I've no longer have seeds as they are in pots since 2008 but I hope to get some this year.
