This lovely Iris was bought in the Czech Republic during the Rock Garden Club conference. It has flowered for the first time this year. The label says "Iris sp. Turkey". What might be distinctive is the blue flower casing

The flowers are long lived compared to other Iris I have. This flower is 5 days old with no sign of deteriation

It looks like I. schachtii.

Mark,
It looks to me as suaveolens. These two pics are from plants originating in Turkey (Cocaeli). Since they occur both in yellow and lilac I would assume that the lilac casing would be natural but I have no picture or memory of that.
