Hi all Iris fans!

My friend Josef Mayr from Germany aked me to send the following e-mail:

"I received Iris afghanica with one nose in Oct 2007 from a friend (Rafael Diez Dominguez) from Spain, thanks again Rafa. This year , 2009, the plant flowered for the first time. It has now 12 new noses, three of them flowered. Anyone having another klon and if interested in a trade, please contact me at j.a.mayr@t-online.de"

"I received Iris westii with one nose in 2007 . This year, 2009, it blooms for the first time . It is now blooming with 5 flowers and has 15 new noses.If anyone cultivates  I. westii and if interested in a trade, please contact me at j.a.mayr@t-online.de."

Jings, if you can look past those fabulous iris, the bed they grow in is terrific!
