Just uploaded 'Google Chrome' and that has solved the problem. Apparently I have been linked into a cache in my computer that links to a time when the website was down for maintenance, that what it's got to do with Apaches I don't know! Will load up some pics.

Well, Maggi, I'm sure the food is great, but of course one has to be a judge to make such adjudications..... His butcher's shop is well known in these parts! 

That was my point, Christine.... there is often a great deal of work being done behind the scenes at a show that may go quite un-noticed but play a huge part in the success of the event ..... I was  taking the example of the Newton Family and Friends catering for the Judges at Hexham as a grand example of wonderful meals being provided without proper kitchen facilities in  very trying circumstances...... all part of show work but rarely seen.

 It is lucky that Alan can provide great meat , but  it needs cooking and even the best butcher's shop doesn't sell salads and desserts!

I'm one of the guilty parties who took photos and haven't yet posted them  - but I've just arrived home in the last hour. I'll plead forgiveness with a good excuse - we stayed overnight in Edinburgh to see our duaghter and also celebrate our 28th weding anniversary. The photos will follow later tonight when I've down loaded them, didn't take many only about 80.

Ok, finally I have some photographs processed. I must begin by saying thanks to Sandy, Jean and the team for putting on a marvellous show, with a wonderful atmosphere - it was good to meet up with people from north of the border again. The light in the show hall was very good, especially in late afternoon with the sun streaming through the windows - I wonder if Sandy could arrange the same weather for next year's show  . It was excellent for photography, although the sprung floor presented  it's own challenges when using a tripod!

1 I'll begin with putting the finishing touches to the show hall, note the frantic activity evident in the blurred figures!
2 Trillium rivale 'Purple Heart' - Cyril Lafong (there's a lot of photos of Cyril's plants, they were very good!)
3. Primula 'Broadwell Milkmaid' - Cyril again
4. Ranunculs calandriniodes - Peter Semple
5. Three tecophileas (cyanocrocus, 'Storm Cloud' and leichtlinii) - Cyril L
6. Sandy Leven put on a display of dwarf bulbs - show secretaries shouldn't have time to do such things! I hope no one expects the same from me next week at Hexham.

More magnificence! Almost impossible to choose a couple of favourites but the Ranunculus calandrinioides is a very fine plant with well overlapping petals. Many tend to be thin-looking. And I do like the little hybrid narcussus in Anthony's first batch. What a great parent N. cyclamineus is.

7 Iris winogradowii from Ian Christie (the flowers were actualy leaning a bit, need to turn the pot next time Ian!)
8 Narcissus 'Xit' - Anthony Darby
9 Cyril Lafong showed this hybrid seedling raised from Corydalis aitchisonii, I believe the pollen parent is uncertain. The plant is surrounded by a sea of other Corydalis
10 Corydalis solida 'George Baker' - an old favouraite with deep colouring shown by Bob Meaden
11 Corydalis henrickii - Mike Hopkins
12 Corydalis solida - an unnamed form from Cyril in a very delicate pink
