ruweiss:
Thank you for your friendly comments, my neighbours also
like the fragrance.
Daphne burkwoodii Astrid grew to a big bush in our meadow garden.
The first flowers at Daphne x luxuriosa Comet, a hybrid of D. blagayana x glomerata,
raised by the late Bavarian plantsman and Daphne breeder Hans Bauer. This plant is not easy for
me, but now it seems to be well in a cool and peaty place.place

Andre Schuiteman:

johnw:
Spied this wonderful dwarf selection of Daphne cneorum 'Porteous' at Wrightman's Nursery in Saint Andrews, New Brunswick this past weekend.  It was a seedling selected by a dear late friend, Barrie Porteous who passed away in April.  He was an enthusiastic alpinist and gardened in both Muskoka and Richmond Hill, Ontario. He was born in Edinburgh. A most fitting tribute to him. Two shots ands apologies as the site would not re-size and I was forced to post the smallest sizes.
