Fermi, those Biarums are so intriguing! love to see them. They seem completely happy in your garden.
I have an asarum maximum 'Silver Panda' growing as undergrowth of a potted Brugmansia, I wonder if anyone knows how to pollinate the flowers? I have never seen Asarum seed. Does anyone grow Asarums? Please share some pics, I'd love to see more!

Very nice both the A. maximum and A. splendens.

Bart: you don't need to pollinate the flowers, various ground dwelling insects will do the trick. I don't know how fertile is A. maximum but A. europaeum and A. canadense set lots of seeds every year. Problem is that the capsules don't give many clues when the seeds are ready and the ants will snatch the seeds fast (they have arils).
There are also reports of seeds predation by mice and other small rodents.

I will do my best to mimic a woodlouse then, or a slug... I have just about managed to eradicate 'ground dwellers' from this pot....

Sorry Bart, I understood that only the Brugmansia was in a pot.

I will post few pictures with A. canadense I gathered fast from my website. You will see that there is not much change in the flower/fruit look and it is not a type you can open to see if they are ready (second image). Notice the seeds with large elaiosomes.
What you can easily do in order not to lose the seeds (if) is to enclose the flowers later in a muslin bag (often used to catch Hepatica seeds).

Arum season is starting. I spotted one opening yesterday, and as usual it had its back to me so I had to climb in to the woodland garden to get a decent shot of it. Interestingly, last night it showed signs of opening, this morning it was in full glory,(pictures) and by this afternoon it had already sagged and is not pretty anymore. I don't really know which one this is:





On my daily exercise walk today I took a picture of a Arum maculatum as comparison:

Oddly  enough, your photos  opened  in larger  size  the  right  way up, but  when I tried  to post them as  larger   they went  sideways again! Go  figure!

I did read all your posts a while ago, and re-read them now- but I can not see what I could do different to avoid this problem. Anyway I also noticed I posted the pic of Arum in the greenhouse and not the ones from my walk. I'll post them now and see what happens:
