Observation on Daphne mezereum in a very good game location: The seeds go from green to yellow to red.
The majority of the berries are eaten in the yellow state by birds (thrushes). Many seeds but not swallowed,
but freed from the pulp and struck somewhere with the beak. After a short time they fall to the ground.
What are your experiences?
greetings

I have never noticed seeds going from yellow to red. My purple flowered D mezereum produces red seeds and album produces yellow  seeds. This year the wood pigeons have been eating the seeds of album while they are still green - so my packet of seeds for the next Seed Exchange will be a bit smaller!
