N. poeticus above Montreux (26 May 2019): this is the best ‘crop’ that I’ve seen in the past 10 years. The perfume was intoxicating on an overcast day, so it must be overwhelming when the sun comes out. .
Hi Keith,
in "Biography of a Flower", Helen O'Neill mentions that the flowers are harvested in France to create 'narcisse absolute' that is "destined for high-end companies ...that focus on luxury goods"!
cheers

LITTLE WHIZ
6 Y-Y AW 2668-B Cute little hybrid with excellent show form, overlapping , very reflexed perianth and gently flared corona. Spicily scented. 13cm high.

PALOMINA
6 W-Y: My favourite of the bunch. Beautiful bicolour, white reflexed perianth and long bright lemon corona. Only 10cm high, it also has a strong perfume. The name comes from the fact that the image of several flowers reminded me of horses galloping towards the viewer (just me then?) and the horses just had to be the white and golden palominos.
