Many  congratulations to 'Dr Rock' - David Millward - his  superb plant Narcissus obesus ‘Lee Martin’ form has won the Forrest Medal at today's   SRGC Show at Dunblane. Photo from SRGC President, Julia Corden.

Great gratulation to this wonderful narcissus! In germany there is an famous classic singer and entertainer, Mr Gunter Emmerlich, looks similar to Mr Millward! :-)

This shot that I took on the way up river  has turned out well:

And I saw these stragglers on the way back

I had to use the zoom on my camera to take these.  I see now that they have an unusual feature that must have caught the attention of my subconscious brain, although I was not consciously aware of it at the time.

Beaten into second place by the pot deemed best-in-show, I was still very taken with this small daffodil shown by Ian Christie.

(Attachment Link)

Unfortunately I could not find the label, if it had one, so could not identify it.  It's not far removed from the wild daffodil but it seemed a bit more petite and the outer (i.e.non-trumpet) petals a bit more yellow.  Can somebody tell me what it is, please.
Ian says it is Douglas Bank

Named after a person or a location?

Oh, never mind, found the information here: http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=6472.msg179026#msg179026 - and that it's Douglasbank, apparently.

Thanks to  Sandy  Leven - who, with  Stan's  help, has  prepared the  report  for the  Stirling  Show  - the  first time  Sandy  hasn't  been there  himself!  Thanks to  Sandy  and  Stan for their  collaboration on our  behalf.
