Most Points in the Intermediate Section was won by Jeanie Jones with the likes of
Primula x kewensis (146)
The Most Points in the Novice Section was won by Michael Osborn, well done but he can be assured that next year the schedule will be changed so that he cannot show two plants of the same cultivar as he did in class 160, even though they were nice
Primula allionii 639826-1
I am sure I was not the only one to show covetous eyes at yet another plant from Clare Oates which received a PC from the Joint Rock
Viola chaerophylloides Benizuru 639828-2
Asarum maxima from Ian Instone (27)
639830-3
Draba cappadocica from Chris Lilley (27)
639832-4

That is all I managed to get before the mobile phone decided to die as well so that will have to do.
As I have said already it was a splendid start for the new venue, some 'tweaking' will be done for future shows there but in the main a roaring success, it will be interesting to see what the visit numbers turn out to be, I spoke to all of the trade stand folk and they were happy and I also spoke to a number of visitors who all expressed a favourable opinion of the show and the venue.

Good that  you solved your posting  problem as your comments  on plants are always worth a read. I have always  found the SRGC downsizer works but it gives quite a small picture even  after the viewer clicks on it. I've switched  to the new system  where one adds square brackets  but that definitely  has trouble with big files either taking a while or sometimes aborting the post so I compressed  all the sets  of five using Office and the system then accepted them very quickly.

I see I don't know my Hapatica from my Soldanella so from Clare Oates
Soldanella capatica

Stan on what was going to be my final attempt at posting pictures everything went as expected, no problems, even though I was posting the non reduced in size pictures from my phone, they all went through first time. I suspect that when others are posting images in, as you were when I had my first try, the web site does not cope so well but later this afternoon when little or no posting was going on it all went smoothly. Thanks again for your show coverage, even though the picture of me not too flattering!!!

Magnificent AGS/SRGC Show at Hexham on Saturday ... many thanks to Stan and George for their comprehensive photographic coverage and to Angus and his superb team for such an enjoyable and trouble-free event. My only (very slight) reservation is with the relatively poor lighting in the show hall (reflected perhaps in many of the terrible images that I'm about to post), but quite a number of show venues suffer this affliction, so not too much to worry about. The new venue was large, welcoming, comfortable, easily accessible and suited the needs of all our varied users. Parking was excellent and the catering area was particularly good. I'm afraid my images are unlabelled and not in any particular order ... much like my life. They are simply being posted to give you a flavour of the event and I apologise in advance for the poor quality and the lack of any commentary. Now to see if this download system will let me play ... ?
