Last year's Best in Show at Hexham was Saxifraga retusa augustana shown by Alan Furness - winnin Forrest Medal under SRGC Rules. This year the Show is under AGS Rules - any predictions as to what the winner might be tomorrow?

Cliff Booker's Shortia uniflora won the Farrer medal. Don Peace took the AGS medal for 6 small pans as well as a merit certificate for a nice little Woodsia fern he had raised. Due to having so many fine plants he received the RB Cooke plate for most firsts in the open section . Dave Millward 's pot of N obesus Lee Martin won the Sandhoe Trohy for best plant in a 19 cm pot and the David Boyd award given this year for a narcissus.

Saxifraga Bridget also won a merit cert for David Charlton. I received an AGS medal for 6 large pots in class 1 . Jeannie Jones took the Gordon Harrison cup for most points in section 2 and an SRGC bronze medal while in section 3 Michael Osborne received the Cyril Barnes trophy .

RBGE received a gold medal for another fine bulb display while Mala Janes from the local group received a large gold for an exceptionally informative display on woodland plants'
