What is North Coast 500 please?
North Coast 500  is   a route around  some of the  attractive northern roads - being  marketed as a tourist attraction in Scotland  which is proving quite popular. Visit Scotland call it  "Scotland's Route 66 "

Congratulations to Bob and Rannveig Wallis for their  success at the show, inlcuding the Farrer Medal - and  to all the exhibitors for supporting the show.

Marvelous job by Stan in bringing us  his  photos to allow those of us  unable to attend to see what we missed - if not actually taste the  bacon  butties!!

I see I am late as usual in posting pictures, Stan and I had a chat during the show, he said he was worried re the battery of his camera and hoped it would hold out long enough so I said I would do my usual detail stuff and he could stick to his normal show picture routine. As he says the light in the hall is just adequate so most of my stuff is using the flash which does change flower colour a bit even after some editing. I will do my 'usual' run through the show with pictures of plants that caught my eye, not all winning plants.
Liriope muscari from Rod and Hilary Price in class 2
Oxalis lobata from Bob and Rannveig Wallis (B&RW from now on)
Cryptomeria japonica 'Tenzan Sugi' from Stan da Prato, winner of most points in the Open section
Cyclamen maritinum in 7 from B&RW. They also had
Cyclamen hederifolium ssp crassifolium in 8, a jolly large panful
