Definitely not in a pot Mark. It really did look like a bit of alpine turf.

I think secret Cyril came a cropper with the draconian parking rules at the Bell's Sport Centre. ???

And he wasn't the only one.... a couple more did too, one with a valid Disabled Parking Permit! :(

And the Farrer winning yellow L. tweedyi is one hell of a cracker !  Rarely seen such a marvelous plant !

Yes, the AGS shows, which we are more than happy to publicise, award a Farrer Medal, while the SRGC shows award a Forrest Medal!  8)

Ian I really do apologise then, to you and to GS of course. Such an exhalted person but with luck, if he's not read these pages, he'll never know. Besides, I can hardly speak can I?  ::) :-[ CL's future in that wonderful Lewisia shot, could be said to be in the same place. :)

I shouldn't worry, Lesley, Glassford may be exalted but he is not without wit, thank goodness  8)

So, some more photos.....need to check first what is already here  :-\

1) A fine plant, though stinky.... Benthamiella patagonica... it's Cyril's
2) A large and lovely Androsace vandellii... yes, the Secret Cyril again!
3) Smart threesome, Fritillaria pontica 'Limelight', Trillium pusillum, Androsace vandellii.... I suspect these are Cyril's , too ;)
