What an excellent reference "document" for us learners. Thanks to the contributors who shared their work with us. I rec'd Salmon's book for Christmas , so these will supplement that very well.

Very interesting - gives me some ideas for hybridising. I like N. ×brevitubulosus and have both parents in flower at the moment  ;)

Another excellent compilation image  by  Fernando Ureña Plaza

40 wild daffodils

"In this image, the 40 species and subspecies, pure and hybrid, which I have photographed - at least once - in the almost hundred wild populations of daffodils i have visited over the years are represented. Some more narcissus I've known in the field and I haven't photographed like, for example, N. assoanus subsp. rivasmartinezii or N. tazetta. These 40 taxa represent about 40 % of the total diversity of the genus Narcissus (estimated at 100 taxa in a recent study) so I have a lot to know: species like, for example, N. cyclamineus, N. dubius and N. poeticus and many hybrids, as well as North African taxa. The adventure continues... and I hope to enjoy the company of those of you that you want, including some friends with whom I have already shared unforgettable moments."
