The show closed  a little early to let people get home on deteriorating roads. The breakdown was even quicker than usual many hands making light work.  Having finished  posting my snaps  I look forward to reading other  contributions.

Well done, Stan - you continue to amaze me- you attend the show , supporting it with your plants, take the photos, get packed up and home again - often thro'  nasty weather - and before we know it you have a full pictorial report for us here!

No small feat for all concerned to get a show  of such quality  in such a week - I think  Alan Oatway and  all of the  Show Team at Kendal can feel VERY pleased with themselves.  8)

As usual way behind others in posting a few pictures and  in my usual style no scenes or pictures of folk, just plants in close up with exhibitors names and classes. As has already been said the show was a bit less in plant numbers than some years but the quality was still top class, a few exhibitors that usually were present did not attend because of the weather forecast, as it happens, from my part the weather did not interfere at all and, thanks to an excellent decision to close the show early, I was home just 10 minutes before the snow came down hard, my car had several inches on it in less than half an hour...if it had been normal closing time I would have been driving home through it.
Don Peace had another fantastic day bringing many plants of high quality and these earned him many red stickers and so the Hollett Trophy for the most points in the Open classes. Among his exhibits were
Primula 'Arduaine' in class 3, earned a Certificate of Merit' (C of M)
Iris 'Frank Elder' (26)
Saxifraga oppositifolia (Icelandic Form) 72
Corydalis 'Lentune Rouge' won him the AGS Seed Distribution Award for this year
