As you can see, I am letting grass and weeds grow in my tulip pots, for three reasons: 1) to partially reproduce the meadow conditions in which many tulip species grow; 2) they will help to regulate the moisture in the pots, hopefully not too wet or dry; and, primarily, 3) I'm really very lazy.

there is an unusual heat wave here. Destroyed all flowers in bloom =(.
Only hybrid tulips remain.

That's a beautiful tulip Yann, I really love Tulipa clusiana var. stellata, it's one I want to try next year, they should do well in my climate zone. Thank you for sharing.

clusiana can grow in almost all soil and climate :)

new ones before the sun burnt all the tulips (27°C this afternoon) : Tulipa x 'Sweet Toy' and 'Don Cossack'
