Hi
It is raining here - 13.8ml so far so there should be a bit of water in our tanks. It will certainly bring our gardens along and give the daffodils a boost.
Some really nice miniatures flowering but since there is not a show in Winter it is unlikely they will ever leave the farm.

Hi
A few more photos.
A smiley showing a person with a beanie and shivering from the cold is required. You know it is cold when the weather reports show it warmer in Dunedin New Zealand!! It has been cold here in Canberra for the last week. The minute it warms up I suspect we will have a sudden increase in blooms.

Narcissus asturiensis ssp vasconicus looks great, it's a very small one?

Yann, it is about half the height of the N. asturiensis that we grow. Our best clones have nice overlapping perianths which makes it highly desirable for breeding miniatures for exhibition. Essentially it is a tiny trumpet that is very comparable in form to a standard daffodil. I have posted a photo of a seedling bred from it and it is a superb flower and quite tiny. We have selected another seedling as well that is yet to flower. We are making good progress with our perianths now.

Lovely to see so many blooms when I'm up to my eyeballs in dormant bulbs!
