Details of events that Joe Sharman / Monksilver will be attending in in 2017/18 have been released on Facebook. Out at an opportune moment to remind folk of the autumn snowdrop event at Blacksmith Cottage Nursery (Langmere Road, Landmere, Dickleborough, Diss, Norfolk, IP21 4QA. T: 01986 893470) this weekend, Sat 4 Nov 2017, where Melvyn Jope will talk about Galanthus reginae olgae and there will also be plant sales. Should be a good day out.

The Yorkshire Snowdrop Trail will be on 17-18 February 2018 at Primrose Bank Nursery near YORK.

Just a reminder that Dryad Nursery will be selling potted snowdrops at the Yorkshire Snowdrop Trail event at Primrose Bank nursery near York on 17-18 February 2018. This is the only time you can buy plants from us 'live' ie not by mail order. There will also be a pot of Galanthus Dryad Gold Bullion for sale by auction, in aid of the Anthony Nolan trust

That's odd, I thought Derry Watkins' (of Special Plants Nursery and Garden) was located between Bath and Chippenham?

And so she is, David -  my mistake-  in haste I wrote  Derry W. when I meant Derryclare !  :-[ :-X

We have a second chance to visit Ashwood Nurseries in February as the Galanthus Group of the Hardy Plant Society will visit on Sunday 18th February.  Their AGM and Study Day is being held in Kinver, Stourbridge.  In the morning there are plant sales and lectures:

"Winter into Spring" by John Massey
"Snowdrops: The Path of Desire" by Eddie Roberts

Visits to Ashwood Nurseries then take place in the afternoon.

A unique feature of this event is that members are encouraged to bring and sell their own plants so you may well find a bargain or something that is not commercially available.  Eddie Roberts also hopes to bring plants for sale.  I am told that this event is nearly three quarters full after only two weeks - which galvanised me into action!
Almost in Scotland.

They are a local supplier of herbaceous plants, always good value, as perhaps are some of the other sellers ;)
