Very dull and grey morning patrol today, not for the first or last time the drops provided the sunshine!

First up, Galanthus Sweetheart, without it's green tips. Mike Broadhurst told me at time of acquisition that this is entirely normal. Let us see what happens over time.

Next Galanthus Schlyters Dwarg, a delightful diminutive drop (around 6cms) from Andreas Handel, originally from Sweden, given to me by a generous forumist. Not usually a fan of the small drops but it is perfectly proportioned and I am becoming a convert. Despite being small it is increasing well.

Ronald Mackenzie still producing deliciously yellow flowers. This year the yellows seem to be showing very strong yellow colour. The buds on some of my other yellows are also very striking.

This is the case this year with ´Wolfgang´s Gold´, shown in the other thread. I have never seen it before deserving it´s name so much.

I have other experiences with WG.
Here is an old picture from 2012 ... also fine greenish yellow

but I agree with you both, this year the yellows show a good color, even in the green house

Hagen,

WG is fantastic in that photo. I would be delighted to grow it one day. Beautiful.

Just back from a Local Group meeting with one bulb each of Augustus, Tubby Merlin, Mandarin and Trumps total outlay £11, bargain or what?

Today's morning patrol punctuated by bright sunshine, mild temperatures and strong winds but well worth it!

Dryad Gold Bullion looking incredibly beautiful! Single bulb from last year now doing what Anne's bulbs always do, bulk rapidly. It is a breathtaking drop and interestingly both this and Gold Sovereign are well ahead of Wendy's Gold.

Hughes Emerald showing and bulking well. The green tip lovers were after this at Harvey's and Myddelton and they have made a good call. A New Zealand drop that is lovely and vigorous.

An old favourite, Peter Gatehouse continues to thrive.

It's true that G. Trumps is growing fast. I have 3 flowers this year (a bulb bought in the fall of 2015)  :)

Here is another snowdrop without a name. But how rare are two flowers emerging from one scape? The single one is from the same bulb.

It's pretty rare but there are a few cultivars that do it regularly.  Brian Ellis has one called 'Saraband' http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=11202.msg292731#msg292731

Not every one loves them. The first two almost flowering of a super variable clone of nivalis.
