Some Junos now coming in to flower:
Iris rudolphii -obtained under this name but looks like narbutii to me.

Stunning pictures of nice species. I am still waiting for Juno planifolia to come into flower. But it is still too cold here.

Steve , as always brilliant photos of some very beautiful Junos . Yes Tony Hall (ex Kew Bot. Garden ) is of the same opinion :
I .rudolphii = I. narbutii .

Beautiful photos and plants Steve, as usual.

I've had my first attempt at embryo rescue on something other than an onco; I. planifolia, seed courtesy of Otto. It appears to be working; the plantlets are growing and developing normally albeit slower than the oncos done at the same time. I'm not sure if there's much advantage to this technique applied to Junos, but it's an interesting proof of concept and could be useful in the case of very precious or rare seed.
