We also wish you a very successful seeding year Tatsuo. We wish at the same time a lot of happiness for everyone. Happy New Year.  :)

Narcissus ‘Kōhō’
This yellow hoop was selected from seedlings of Monocot Nursery's "Narcissus bulbocodium var. conspicuus S.F.391 Spain, Ubrique" at a nursery in Japan. But I suppose it can be a hybrid origin. It is too early for 'true' conspicuus.

I have a question that seems surely stupid ... I asked the question to one of the forum members by mail. I never got an answer. When you write "Narcissus bulbocodium var. Conspicuus SF391" ... What does SF391 mean or other series of figures that can be read?

Hello Fred, I guess you did not get my email from 27th December?  I'll send it again.
This is the most important part....
In this forum thread, http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=5050.0  there are many such references listed. I'm not sure who SF  is - but I'm sure another  person will know...

Had a look at one of the lists posted in that other thread ....  it says  SF =  Forde, P.

Thank you Maggi, I did not receive the email of December 27. Finally, I suspected that it had to be the abbreviations of the people from which the seeds or clones came. On the other hand I was far from suspecting that there could be as many ...  :o

It was the RHS list that gave me that info for SF - which seemed to be an odd answer - wondering if it was a typo for SP ?!
Kurt Vickery clarifies the matter with the  info that    SF ARE  Salmon and Fillan - Mike S and Mark F   ( sometimes shown as S&F )

Thanks, Kurt  - must admit that does ring a bell  now!

The first narcissus flowers are out on my raised bed. Still no cat digging since the track ballast was applied! (They are going in my frames instead  >:( )
