I like the tiny nivalis. I just potted some seedlings of one like that. After 3 years they are still only 3mm long x 1mm in diameter!

At last I've reached the best bit of repotting - looking at the 2 year-old seedlings for the first time.
It can be hard to spot the tiny bulbs amongst the perlite, but it's easier if the old leaves are still attached. Sometimes there is just one tiny bulb!

The BD tells us that the long bulbs are asking to be planted deeper. Sometimes you get a much bigger harvest! There are 143 Narcissus rupicola bulbs potted in one pot and 96 N. cantabricus in the other

Now that's an interesting cross - N. astureinsis x poeticus hellenicus?! Any ideas how it might turn out?

Mercy, Anne! You've placed every one of those babies the right way up by tweezer ??  BD says you must have too much time on your hands - I'm inclined to agree!   :-*

If only! Yep - by tweezers. Got to look after my babies. Start at 8am and finish when it's too dark to see.

Hi
Some photos of some exceeding good seedlings. We are starting to seed a range of outstanding jonquilla seedlings flower. It has been worth the wait. We also have a lot of very good triandus seedlings flowering now. It has been very wet here so that has limited hybridising opportunities this year.
