GLEN CHANTRY SNOWDROPS- SALES EVENTS WE ARE BOOKED TO ATTEND IN JAN AND FEB 2016
"We have a very large selection of choice snowdrops established in individual pots to offer at the events below. Many are varieties are in numbers too small to offer in our main summer list of resting bulbs. We intend to share them out as far as possible between the events we are attending. A list of varieties will be available at the events. To enable us to offer the widest selection at the events and limited space in the car for transport, we regret that we cannot accept pre orders.
1] SATURDAY JAN 23rd 10.30-12.00 Snowdrops Event at Myddleton House, Enfield, Middlesex EN2 9HG. Probably the biggest sale of the year. There will be a charge of £3.50 for admission to the sale and a small charge for car parking if arriving after 9.30. Entry to the famous former garden of E.A.Bowles which is being rapidly and carefully restored is free.
2] SATURDAY 30th Jan Snowdrop Festival at Harvey’s Garden Plants, Great Green, Thurston, Bury St Edmunds IP31 3SJ. A talk will be given by Valentin Wijnen on Belgian snowdrops and other new European treasures. Registration for talk 09:30. The talk starts at 10:00 and finishes at 11:00. Advanced Booking required.Following this there will be our annual ‘Celebration of Snowdrops’ – a chance to see and buy rare Galanthus and get expert advice from renowned collectors. ‘Celebration of Snowdrops’ starts at 11:30 and finishes at 14:30
x3 very rare snowdrops from Valentin Wijnen’s collection will be auctioned at 13:00
