I would really have loved to have gone. Last years was wonderful I got some really nice
erythroniums. Any photos or videos hint hint David?
What unusual purchases?

I think David has a few which will find their way here, he had his long lens so got some good candid shots ;)

And we are now finally home,a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon,if a trifle expensive  ;D ;D,I even had to raid Jans purse, great to see so many forumists there, quite a sociable event, helps make the autumn/winter days pass faster before we all meet again,I did buy a couple of snowdrops in the auction, some erythroniums and Jan added a few more nerines and colchicums, tulips for the garden,so pleased that we were finally able to make this event, after our failed attempts over the last two years

Not forgetting a wonderful gift from a forumist

As Brian said I had a nice long lens on yesterday so here are a few pictures from the sale.

1.  The buying frenzy has started except for one who can't decide whether to buy or keep his cash.
2.  Jo Hynes (centre) talking to Sharon White (left) and Val Bourne (right).  A nice pic Val?
3.  The Riverside Plants stall.
4.  Jane Leeds.
5.  Cliff Curtis (centre)

1.  Emma Thick
2.  Wol and Sue Staines and Emma Thick.
3.  Brian Ellis and Jan Whight.
4.  And then it rained.  From left Sharon White, Cliff Curtis (back to camera), Carole Smith talking to Mark Smythe and

The final five:

1.  Rod and Jane Leeds.
2.  Ann Broscombe.  Ann likes Clematis and had her nails painted, each with a different Clematis, for a convention in Europe.
Pictures 3, 4 and 5 are her painted nails.

Brooke, Norwich, Norfolk.

... except for one who can't decide whether to buy or keep his cash.

I did better than that!  I had brought along a few bulbs for sale (on a 50:50 basis) and the early snowdrop bulbs that are the focus of my attention at present (and that I don't already have) were thin on the ground.  So I achieved the unheard-of feat of going away with more cash than I arrived with!  This year only!

Glad to hear it was sunny for most of the time - so nice to see the galanthophiles without 150 layers of  woolies and waterproofs !!

5.  Cliff Curtis (centre)

The gentleman to the left of Cliff Curtis in IMG_5315w was buying snowdrops so enthusiastically that I wondered who he was.  I take it that you don't know either, David?

Well believe it or not so did I!  The ones I was looking for on the sales table had already been sold (someone must have been quick off the mark) so I had very few purchases and someone wanted a particular snowdrop from me so I was in the same monetary position as you.  No we don't recognize this gentleman and his wife? either.  There are lots of people we recognize by sight but just can't put names too!

Thanks, Mike.  It was just idle curiosity on my part but one generally comes to recognise ones fellow galanthophiles if they come along to events like this one.  I'm really terrible with faces myself but I asked a couple of other people there and they did not know/recognise the Joneses either.
